VELOSIT® RM 203

Rapid set structural concrete repair mortar R3

Product Description

VELOSIT® RM 203 is a rapid setting cementitious repair material that is mixed with water to become an R3 structural repair mortar according to EN 1504. It is fibre reinforced, shrinkage compensated and sets rapidly for fast return to service applications. It produces a repair that is dimensionally stable, integrally bonded to the concrete substrate, durable and abrasion resistant. This product is formulated to be RCS (respirable crystalline silica) free and is manufactured using dust reduction technology.

Typical Applications

  • Structural repair of concrete, masonry and many natural stones from feather edge to 100 mm thickness where rapid return to service is required.
  • It is suitable to be applied in vertical, overhead and horizontal orientations.
  • Filling of blow holes and repair of honeycombing and spalled concrete.
  • Creates a durable surface for coatings & overlays.
  • Re-modeling of architectural features requiring a moldable mortar that can be shaved into shape.
  • May be used for repair of concrete structures in accordance with EN 1504 Principles of 3.1 and 3.2 acc. EN 1504-9.
  • Suitable for use in concrete structures classified under AS 3600 exposure categories A1, A2, B and C For structures in exposure category D, this mortar may be used when incorporated into a system that provides additional protection appropriate for environments with elevated chemical or aggressive exposure.

Features

  • Shrinkage compensated to minimise the risk of micro-cracking.
  • Fibre reinforced to increase impact & abrasion resistance & durability.
  • 10-minute working time with 2-hour compressive strength of 14 MPa.
  • Open to foot traffic after approximately 1.5 hours.
  • Very low permeability for superior resistance to carbon dioxide & chloride ion penetration.
  • Suitable for use in aggressive environments where subjected to contents with a pH range of between 3–12.
  • Withstands exposure to sulfate ions without significant deterioration over time.
  • Withstands long-term exposure to environmental conditions without significant deterioration.
  • TMR registered for use as a repair mortar.
  • Respirable crystalline silica (RCS) free.
  • Minimal curing with water required for 3 to 4 hours only.
