VELOSIT® RM 202

Structural repair mortar R3

Product Description

VELOSIT® RM 202 is a cementitious repair material that is mixed with water. It is an R3 structural repair mortar according to EN 1504-3. It is fibre reinforced, shrinkage compensated and offers high early strength development. It produces a repair that is dimensionally stable, integrally bonded to the concrete substrate, durable and abrasion resistant. This product is formulated to be RCS (respirable crystalline silica) free and is manufactured using dust reduction technology.

Typical Applications

  • Structural repair of small patches or large area defects from feather edge to 100 mm thickness.
  • It is suitable to be applied in vertical, overhead and horizontal orientations.
  • Repair of honeycombing and spalled concrete and filling of blow holes.
  • Re-modelling of architectural features requiring a mouldable mortar that can be formed to the required shape.
  • VELOSIT® RM 202 structural repair mortar, may be used for repair of concrete structures in accordance with EN 1504 Principles of 3. Concrete restoration, 4. Structural strengthening and 7. Preserving or restoring passivity.
  • Suitable for use in concrete structures classified under AS 3600 exposure categories A1, A2, B and C. For structures in exposure category D, this mortar may be used when incorporated into a system that provides additional protection appropriate for environments with elevated chemical or aggressive exposure.

Features

  • Shrinkage compensated to minimize the risk of micro-cracking.
  • Fibre reinforced to increase impact & abrasion resistance & durability.
  • Long working time to facilitate placement with high early 4-hour strengths.
  • Very low permeability.
  • Suitable for use in aggressive environments where subjected to contents with a pH range of between 3–12 and applications exposed to soft water.
  • Withstands exposure to sulfate ions without significant deterioration over time.
  • Withstands long-term exposure to environmental conditions without significant deterioration.
  • Versatile nature allows placement vertically, overhead & horizontally.
  • Approved for use with potable/ drinking water.
  • Respirable crystalline silica (RCS) free.
