VELOSIT® CP 201

Cementitious corrosion protection and concrete primer

Product Description

VELOSIT® CP 201 is a cement-based coating containing corrosion inhibitors that provides corrosion protection for reinforcing steel and is used as a primer for the VELOSIT® RM repair mortars on critical substrates where conformance to EN 1504-3 is required. VELOSIT® CP 201 is a shrinkage compensated cementitious slurry with very quick strength development. This product is formulated to be RCS (respirable crystalline silica) free and is manufactured using dust reduction technology.

Typical Applications

  • As a bonding primer for VELOSIT® RM repair mortars.
  • As corrosion protection for reinforcement steel.
  • Prime coat to fill blow holes, honeycombing and surface roughness.

Features

  • Gains strength fast and VELOSIT® RM repair mortars can typically be applied within 1–2 hours.
  • 45-minute working time and 12 MPa compressive strength after 4 hours.
  • Final strength of ≥ 45 MPa after 28 days.
  • Dimensionally stable with minimal shrinkage when drying and minimal expansion when curing.
  • Suitable for use in aggressive environments where subjected to contents with a pH range of between 3–12.
  • Withstands exposure to sulfate ions without significant deterioration over time.
  • Withstands long-term exposure to environmental conditions without significant deterioration.
  • RCS free.
