Geocast™ Geopolymer Mortar

Centrifugally Cast Geopolymer Structural Lining Mortar

Product Description

Geocast Geopolymer Mortar is a single-component alkali-activated geopolymer structural mortar formulated for the rehabilitation, reinstatement and corrosion protection of wastewater and drainage infrastructure. The fibre reinforced mortar provides high early and ultimate strength, low permeability and resistance to microbiologically induced corrosion (MIC), hydrogen sulfide attack, sulfates, chlorides and acidic sewer environments. Suitable for centrifugally cast, wet spray and hand-applied installation methods on concrete and steel substrates.

Typical Applications

  • Structural rehabilitation, lining, reinstatement and corrosion protection of sanitary sewers, stormwater pipes, culverts, deteriorated concrete, brick and corrugated steel infrastructure.
  • Rehabilitation of wastewater structures including maintenance holes, wet wells, tanks, chambers, treatment plant infrastructure of large diameter pipelines and underground infrastructure.
  • Suitable for application in horizontal, vertical and overhead orientations. Compatible with centrifugally cast, wet spray and hand-applied installation methods. Can be applied from 6 mm to 75 mm in a single pass and up to 100 mm total thickness.
  • Rehabilitation of pipe inverts and areas subject to abrasion, hydrogen sulfide exposure and microbiologically induced corrosion (MIC).
  • Suitable for use for the repair and protection of water & wastewater concrete structures with Exposure Class Low to Extreme (refer WSA201 and WSA161).
  • Geocast Geopolymer Mortar is suitable to be designed and installed in accordance with ASTM F1216-09 – Rehabilitation of pipelines by Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP).

Features

  • Fibre reinforced for improved durability and crack resistance. High early and ultimate compressive strength. Excellent abrasion, hydraulic and chemical resistance.
  • Low chloride ion permeability and dense matrix structure to reduce ingress of moisture and aggressive contaminants. Stops active water infiltration in underground and above ground assets.
  • Resistant to microbiologically induced corrosion (MIC), hydrogen sulfide attack, sulfates, chlorides and dilute acids to pH 2.
  • Non-combustible mineral-based formulation suitable for confined space infrastructure applications. Freeze-thaw resistant for durability in cyclic environmental conditions.
