With more than 30 years of international experience in the construction chemicals industry, Simon Ross brings deep technical authority and a problem-solver’s mindset to his role as National Technical & Commercial Lead – Structural & Remediation at Hychem Infrastructure.
His career spans technical sales, business development and on-site support, working with engineers, contractors and distribution partners across Australia and overseas to find practical solutions to some of the industry’s most challenging applications.
Simon’s specialist focus is on, but not limited to, ports, heavy industry, mining, and oil and gas, where the consequences of getting a structural repair or grouting decision wrong can run into millions of dollars in unplanned downtime. He has built a reputation for working through these problems from design stage to delivery, drawing on a strong portfolio of epoxy and cementitious grouts and structural repair systems to give clients durable, fit-for-purpose solutions.
At Hychem Infrastructure, Simon works with clients to find solutions for challenging grouting and concrete repair applications, while also providing technical support to Hychem’s sales and production teams internally. He brings to the role extensive troubleshooting experience, a track record in international sales and quality control, and a genuine passion for developing teams and people.
Simon thrives solving complex problems, the ones where standard specifications fall short and the right answer depends on knowing exactly which material to use.
